Deleting a developer account#

Closing a developer account — the login you use on dashboard.pluggy.ai — is not a self-service action in the Dashboard. To close one, write to us:

  • E-mail: support@pluggy.ai, or sales@pluggy.ai if your team is on a paid plan and the account is tied to a contract.
  • Tell us the e-mail address of the account to close, from that same address where possible, so we can confirm it is yours.

Other contact channels, and which one fits which situation, are in Contact and support.

This is not the same as deleting an Item

Deleting an Item removes one end user's bank connection and its data, and you can do that yourself at any time with DELETE /items/{id}API — see Item lifecycle. Deleting your account is about your own Pluggy login and the applications it owns.

What closing the account removes#

  • Every application you own, together with its client credentials — the API keys of those applications stop working, so anything still calling the API with them will start failing.
  • The teams where you are the only member, or the last remaining OWNER. If a team should survive you, promote another member to OWNER before asking for the deletion, or the team is removed with your account.
  • The account itself. The e-mail address is released, so you can sign up again later with the same address if you need to.

Delete the Items you no longer need first

If you have live connections you want gone, delete those Items explicitly while you still have working API keys. It is the clean way to end the connections, and it revokes the Open Finance consent where one applies.

Data protection requests (LGPD)#

A request to access, correct or erase personal data is a different process from closing an account, and it goes to Pluggy's Data Protection Officer:

If you are an end user — you connected your own bank account through a product built on Pluggy — ask that product to delete your data: it owns the connection, and Pluggy processes the data on its behalf. For accounts connected through Meu Pluggy, the community channel is Discord.
